What
Causes Thick, Yellow, Abnormal Nails?
The discoloration
and thickening of human nails is caused by a toenail fungus that
infects the nail and its growth center. The fungal infection within
the nail matrix and growth center causes abnormal thickening and
discoloration of the the nail. The medical term for this nail
condition is onychomycosis.
Who
Suffers from this Problem?
Onychomycosis,
often referred to as toenail fungus, is a very prevalent condition
that can affect anyone. Approximately 20 million Americans alone
suffer from this nail condition. The negative cosmetic changes
in the nail are a source of embarrassment for individuals in a
social setting.

"I tried a prescription
medication 3 different times. My toenail would clear up
but would get
yellow and thick just weeks after stopping. Finally, my
doctor recommend this Toenail Therapy. It cleared my nails
up in 6 weeks. It is now 9 months later and no sign of reinfection."

BEFORE
AFTER
|
Nails infected with toenail fungus, often appear yellow,
brown, or even black as in this picture. Toenails can become
so thick that they are difficult to trim. This patient tried
Lamasil, herbals, and creams. Nothing worked. The nails
just got blacker and thicker. Finally, she tried Toenail
Therapy.
This
is the same foot half way through treatment with Toenail
Therapy. Notice the nails are much thinner, clearer and
more normal looking.

What
kind of treatments are available?
Conventional
treatment for toenail fungus requires oral, or systemic medications
for long term use. These oral medications often have side effects
and are toxic. Topical treatments for this problem currently exist
but suffer from inability to penetrate the tough outer layer of
the nail with agents that effectively treat the diseased nail
at the source.
Toenail Therapy®, a patented two-step method for the treatment
of onychomycosis, overcomes these limitations, penetrating the
nail with powerful medication.
How
Does Toenail Therapy® Work?
The physicians
and pharmacists of MedPure have spent years of clinical research
developing and formulating a patented method for clearing thick,
yellow nails. ToeNail Therapy® combines proven antifungal
agents in a two-step treatment method that is both safe and extremely
effective.
In onychomycosis,
the thickened nail itself forms a barrier to treating the toenail
fungus smoldering deep withing the nail matrix. This is where
other topical applications fail. This patented two-step treatment
method overcomes these limitations, penetrating the nail with
powerful medication. MedPure Toenail Therapy® contains powerful
penetrating agents that combine to break down the outer layer
of the nail (keratin) and prepare the nail for treatment with
a proven antifungal formula.
What
makes Toenail Therapy® so effective?

The treatment
of onychomycosis requires effective penetration of the nail to
take the medicine where the problem is. The effectiveness of our
proven ingredient has been established by scientific methods.
Dr. T Syed and co-workers at the University of California, San
Francisco proved the significant benefits deep nail penetration
in the treatment of nail fungus. Medical Scientists at other institutions
have also confirmed the efficacy of this powerful penetrating
agent. This treatment has also been generally found to be free
of side effects such as pain, bleeding, or infection.

Menthol penetrates
into the nail to kill the fungal elements that cause damage. Workers
at the Department of Horticulture and National Food Safety and
Toxicology Center at Michigan State University have studied the
antifungal effects of Menthol. They proved that Menthol specifically
inhibits the growth of a multitude of fungi known to cause onychomycosis.
Phytother Res. 2003 Apr;17(4):376-9

Melaleuca
Alternifolia (tea-tree) Oil is a known antifungal with activity
against various infectious organisms. Dr. JM Concha and his associates
tested tea-tree against 58 disease causing fungal organisms. These
are the same fungi thriving within the toenail. The results were
profound, 57 isolates were inhibited by tea-tree demonstrating
the great potential of this substance to attack the germs that
cause nail fungal disease.
Medical
researchers from coast to coast have documented the benefits of
tea-tree oil in the treatment of oncyhomycosis. DS Buck, at the
University of Rochester School of Medicine in New York found tea
tree oil an effective treatment for onychomycosis. These same
results have been obtained in the Department of Dermatology, at
the University of California, San Francisco.
Topical, Effective,
and Safe. Finally, a solution that makes sense!
